"Death from Exhaustion - A man named Archibald Elliot, a drover, died yesterday morning at Westlinton, from exhaustion. He had come from about 25 miles beyond Langholm, with a drove, and on arrival at Westlinton was taken ill suddenly, on Sunday morning. Dr. Carlyle, of this city, was called, and attended the man yesterday, when he died. No inquest will be held, as Dr. Carlyle was satisfied the man died of natural causes - exhaustion and fatigue."
