The bride was gowned in blush pink satin fashioned with a scalloped neckline and a circular train. A helmet cap of satin held her finger-tip tulle veil and she carried a prayer book trimmed with pink roses. Elizabeth Wagner, Maid of Honour, wore wine satin and lace, and, bridesmaids Annora McIntosh and Deanne Brown, sister of the bride, wore powder blue gowns. They wore matching Dutch Caps and carried nosegays of corral and deep red roses and carnations. Elvin Nash was groomsman, and, ushers were John McClelland and Donald Henderson. At The Towers, the bride's mother received in light blue with navy accessories and pink rose corsage. The groom's mother assisted in navy with matching accessories and pink roses. The bride chose a navy ensemble with pink hat and mouton coat for the wedding trip to New York."

"HENDERSON, Bruce Maynard - Passed away peacefully at the Orillia Soldiers' Memorial Hospital on Saturday, February 19th, 2000, in his 70th year. Bruce, beloved husband of Pat Henderson (nee Brown) for 49 wonderful years. Loving father of Kimberley, Paul and his wife Darlene, and, Blair and his wife Sandra. Dear grandfather of Christopher (predeceased), Jennifer, Andrea, Jared, Kelsey and Kyla. Brother of Donald, Torrance, David, Marilane and Susan. The family will receive friends for memorial visitation at the Doolittle-Carson Funeral Home, 54 Coldwater Street East, Orillia, from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. Monday. A memorial service will be held in the chapel Tuesday, February 22nd, 2000 at 1 o'clock. Cremation has taken place. Deanne Brown Bride of Bruce David Osborn - In St. David's Anglican Church, the wedding took place of Deanne Margaret Brown, daughter of Mrs. W. J. L. Brown of Weston, to Bruce David Osborn, son of Mr. & Mrs. J. H. Osborn. Reverend H. Surdivall officiated, assisted by Reverend S. M. Oliver.
Given in marriage by her uncle, Milton Brown, the bride wore a gown of white velvet. The long skirt had a straight front panel, and the full skirt ended in a train. Flat white velvet bows were on the shoulders. Her veil was encircled with white velvet leaves forming a coronet and she carried a bouquet of white gardenias.
Matron of honour was Mrs. Patricia Henderson. Attendants were Diane Slade, Susan McGee and Mrs. Jacqueline Wilkins, with Kimberley Anne Henderson, flower girl. They were dressed alike in bright rust velvet, with rust velvet bows and rust and yellow mums. The flower girl was in white organza with cummerbund and carried a small basket of rust and yellow mums.
Al Jessop was best man. Ushers were Charles Osborn, Bruce Hendersen and Arthur Wilkins.
The honeymoon will be spent in Bermuda."

"MRS. M. JACKSON DIES AT HOSPITAL - Mrs. Isabel Jackson, wife of Murray Jackson, proprietor of Jackson's Cleaners and Dyers, died last night at St. Joseph's Hospital after a lengthy illness. She resided at 215 Raymond Avenue.
Born in Toronto, she had been a resident for 20 years. She was a member of St. Luke's Anglican Church.
Besides her husband, Mrs. Jackson is survived by two sons, Peter and Richard, at home; her mother, Mrs. Marjorie Brown, of London; and two brothers, Milton and Lawson Brown, of Toronto.
Funeral service will be held at the George E. Logan and Sons Funeral Chapel, Saturday at 2 p.m. The Reverend Maurice Farr, Rector of St. Luke's Anglican Church, will officiate. Burial will be in Woodland Cemetery."

"FUNERAL NOTICE
Sergeant of Metro Police Dies at Georgetown Home - Funeral service was held in Toronto today for Detective Sergeant Milton Brown, 53, Court Officer at Lambton Mills Court in Etobicoke who collapsed and died while watching television at his home in Georgetown Thursday night.
The service was conducted in the Chapel of Turner and Porter Funeral Home, Bloor Street West, with interment in Park Lawn Cemetery. Sergeant Brown was the second Metro police officer to die of a heart attack in a week.
Brown joined the York Township Force in 1939 and served overseas with the Canadian Army. When he returned, he worked as a traffic officer and then was transferred to the General Assignment Office of the Metro Detective Unit. He had been a Court Officer eight years.
He is survived by his wife, Sylvia, and sons Barry (Thais) and Brian."
