Donovan; a daughter, Patricia Lemieux; eight grandchildren, and six great-grandchildren. A Funeral Mass was offered on Monday, January 19, in St. Helen’s Roman Catholic Church in Westfield. Arrangements were under the direction of the Dooley Funeral Home, 218 North Avenue, in Cranford."

Arbroath Town Council today appointed Mr Archibald D. Glendinning, at present senior assistant in the accounting section of the City Chamberlain's Department of Edinburgh Corporation, to the post of town chamberlain, collector of rates, and housing factor at a salary of £650 per annum.
Mr Glendinning was one of a short leet of four candidates interviewed by the Council. The other members of the leet were Messrs. William B. Morice, Rutherglen; Alexander McKillop, Glasgow; and Arthur A. Watt, Aberdeen.
Mr Glendinning has been in the service of Edinburgh Corporation since 1917 and has had extensive experience in the various sections of the city chamberlain's office.
He has been an associate of the Society of Incorporated Accountants and Auditors since 1927. He has been connected with the Edinburgh War Savings movement, and is at present treasurer of Broughton Place Church."
