"LELAND - Audrey Lang, 88, of Leland, died Thursday at her home.
Born Sept. 2, 1910, in Detroit, she was the daughter of Kenneth and Mathilda (Dunneback) Glendenning. On Sept. 7, 1935, in Windsor, Ontario, she married Fred J. Lang who preceded her in death on Aug. 2, 1996.
Audrey was a member of Leland Community United Methodist Church.
She is survived by her sons, Kent Lang of Auburn Hills and Alan Lang of Barnardsville, N.C.; daughter, Jean Lang of Leland; grandchildren, Kim Lang, Jane Lang, Mark Lang, Jeff Lang, Alan Lang, John Lang, Greg Lang and Kelley Lang.; great-grandchild, Katie Lang; and a daughter-in-law, Joy Lang.
She was also preceded in death by her son, Ross Lang and brother, Clyde Glendenning.
Friends may call from 2 to 6 p.m. Saturday at Martinson Funeral Home in Suttons Bay. Funeral services will be held at 3 p.m. Sunday at Leland Community United Methodist Church with Rev. Joseph Graybill officiating. Burial will be in Beechwood Cemetery.
Memorial contributions may be directed to Leland Community United Methodist Church."

"SHERMAN, Mary V.K (Begbie) Passed away at W.W. Hospital on Dec. 13th, 2010. Mary was born in Brockville, Ont. 97 years ago. Predeceased by her loving husband, Blake J. Sherman in 1993 and by her brother, always in her memory Pilot Officer Kendall Bell Begbie who was killed in action in 1945. She is survived by her sister Alfreda Bates of St. Thomas and a brother Lyle Begbie of Kingsville. Dear mother of Blake J. Sherman of Calgary, Carol W. Johnson of Belle River and Mary Lou Sordi of Fair Oaks California; and 8 grandchildren and 6 great grandchildren. At Mary's request there was to be no visitation and a cremation has taken place. Her wishes were to have a memorial service in the spring. This is to take place in the Town of Durham on June 4th with internment at the Durham cemetery."
