James Ronald Dixon COTTINGHAM

1Newspaper Obituary.
"COTTINGHAM-James Ronald Dixon (Dick), of Moosomin, formerly of Regina, passed away at Moosomin Union Hospital on Sunday, December 28, 1936. Born in Ormstown, Quebec, on June 6, 1897. He went overseas with the 73BnRHC (Black Watch), in 1915, and later served with 12BDEMGCoy as CSM. Invalids Home after Vimmy Ridge, he was discharged in July, 1918. He joined the Ford Motor Company in January, 1920, and retired from that company in Regina in 1963. During WWII, he served in the RCEME (Pacific Command). He was predeceased by his father, mother, six brothers, and three sisters. His beloved Helen passed away shortly after they celebrated their 50th Wedding Anniversary in September, 1974. Mr. Cottingham is survived by his three sons: Lieutenant Commander (LCBR, retired) John S. (Charmian), of North Vancouver, B.C., Lieutenant Col. (retired) Dixon T. (Doreen), of Moosomin, Lieutenant Col. (retired) Anthony F. (Dene), of Porter's Lake, N.S.; seven grandchildren; eight great-grandchildren. He was a life member of the Royal Canadian Legion, Moosomin Branch 81. Funeral Service will be held at St. Alvan's Anglican Church in Moosomin at 2:00 p.m., January 2, 1987, with Rev. Enid Longwell, officiating. Arrangements entrusted to G.R. Carscadden Funeral Chapel Ltd., Moosomin, Sask."

"KENNETH GLENDINNING
The funeral of Kenneth Glendinning was held from his late residence, Lewisville, on Tuesday afternoon, conducted by Rev. N. A. Whitman of Sunny Brae, interim pastor of the Lewisville Baptist Church, and was largely attended.
The profusion of flowers showed the high esteem in which Mr. Glendinning was held by a large circle of relatives and friends. The male quartette of Sunny Brae was present and rendered very touchingly two selections: "Going Down the Valley", and "No Night There". The members of Acacia Lodge I.O.O.F. of Sunny Brae attended in a body, and members of Prince Albert Lodge, Moncton, were also present. Prayer was offered by Rev. J. A. Glendinning, returned missionary, cousin of the deceased. Burial took place in the Elmwood Cemetery, the Committal Service, being conducted by members of Acacia and Prince Albert Lodges.
Those attending from out of town were: Miss Ona Glendinning, sister of the deceased, of Montreal; Mrs. Herbert Myers, Messrs. Roy and Ralph Campbell, sister and brothers of Mrs. Glendinning; Jack and Charles Waugh, all of Prince Edward Island, and Mrs, George Wood of Baie Verte, N. B. The pallbearers were: Paul Swim, J. Humphrey Lockhart, J. C. Hopper, Albert Killam, Nicholas Bone, and Herbert ….all.

The death of Kenneth W. Glendenning, 41, occurred at his residence in Lewisville on Saturday evening after an illness of seven years' duration.
The deceased was born in Lewisville, son of William and the late Mrs. Glendenning and lived for the greater part of his life in that community.
Formerly employed with F. C. Fillmore and Sons of Moncton, he had been unable to work for the past several years. He was a member of the United Church of Canada, of Acacia Lodge No 116, I.O.O.F., of Sunny Brae and of Mount Carmel Encampment of Moncton.
Surviving are his father, now residing in Montreal, his widow and one son, William; three sisters, Marjorie, Mrs. Charles Stewart of Montreal; Jean, Mrs. Roland Lynch, of Hamilton, Ont., and Miss Ona, of Montreal.
Funeral services will be held from his late residence on Tuesday afternoon at 2 p.m. with interment in Elmwood cemetery. Rev. N. A. Whitman of the Lewisville Baptist church will officiate."
