"The death occurred suddenly on Saturday last of the Rev Andrew Glendinning M.A., who for the past ten years had been minister of Broughton Parish Church Peeblesshire. Mr Glendinning had been in holiday in Lockerbie and was occupying the pulpit in St Cuthbert's Church during August. A native of Eskdalemuir, he was a graduate of Glasgow University. He was ordained in 1910 to Methven, Perthshire, and after a ministry of 21 years there he went to Garnethill, Glasgow. He was 70 years of age."5Confirmation of Estate.
