"Henry Duncan Laidlaw, 65, of 531 53rd Ave. S.W. died in a Calgary hospital Wednesday.
A veteran of two great wars, Mr. Laidlaw was born in Moffat, Scotland, and went to Prince Albert, Sask., 45 years ago. He moved to Calgary in 1945.
In the First Great War, Mr. Laidlaw served with the 54th Battalion, and in the Second Great War with the Veterans Guard Company at Prince Albert. He was a member of the Canadian Legion, No. 1 Calgary.
Surviving are a daughter, Mrs. C. Jean McDine, of Calgary; two brothers, John, of High River, and William of Victoria; and five sisters, Mrs. Robert Dey, of New Westminster, Mrs. Margaret Sinclair, of Vancouver, Mrs. Kate Hyer, of White Rock, B.C., Mrs. Violet Fast, of Fielding, Sask.: and Jean of New Westminster.
Funeral service is to be held Saturday at 1:30 p.m. in Leyden's Chapel of Remembrance with burial to follow in the Field of Honor, Burnsland Cemetery."
