In memory of James Cavers died at Newcastleton 7th April 1903 aged 70 years. Jane Corbett his wife died at Newcastleton 7th April 1901 aged 71 years. Their two children who died in infancy. Also Thomas Jackson uncle of the above Jane Corbett died at Newcastleton 5th March 1890 aged 85 years."

Andrew Mitchelhill their son who died at Newcastleton 28th Sepr. 1878 aged 60 years. Agnes Kyle his wife who died at Newcastleton 4th Sepr. 1882 aged 55 years. Janet Mitchelhill daughter of the above Andrew Mitchelhill who died at Newcastleton 18th March 1877 aged 11 years. Sgt. Willie Mitchelhill grandson of the above wounded in action 6th Oct. died on the 20th Dec. 1918 aged 20 years. Interred in Etaples Cemetery. France. Isabella Bell mother of the above and wife of William Mitchelhill died at Newcastleton 15th January 1935 aged 77 years. William Mitchelhill dearly loved husband of the above died 6th December 1938 aged 79 years."
