2Newspaper Obituary, Claresholm Review Thur 8 Apr 1909.
"Death of Mrs. J.G. Cumming
Last Saturday morning there passed away at her home on Fourth Ave., Sadie Jane Glendening, wife of Mr. J.G. Cummings. The end was not unexpected as Mrs. Cumming had been gradually failing under a fatal sickness for some months past. A large number of friends gathered at the house on Monday morning when a short service was conducted by Rev. P. Henderson. Thereafter the remains were conveyed to Calgary for interment in the Cemetery there. Among a number of beautiful floral wreaths adorning the casket were one from the local Masons, and one from the Town Council of Claresholm, of both which organizations Mr. Cumming is a member. Several members of the Masons Fraternity travelled to Calgary and acted as pallbearers.

The late Mrs. Cumming was born in the Province of New Brunswick, but most of her life was spent in Brandon where her family moved more than twenty years ago. She had been married to Mr. Cumming about seven years of which the last two were spent in Claresholm. She leaves two children along with her husband to mourn her loss.

Deceased was a member of the Presbyterian church here and was much respected and loved by her friends and acquaintances. The long illness which carried her off was borne with true Christian fortitude and patience. Her sister, Mrs. Neil McKelvey of Calgary, the only member of her family in these parts, was with her during the last few days of her life.

The Review takes this opportunity of expressing on behalf of all concerned the deep sympathy felt for the bereaved family and friends."
