A Chilliwack pioneer, Mrs Jean Carr Kipp, died Friday in Chilliwack General hospital. She had lived in the district 65 years.
Rev. J.E. Bigelow officiated at the funeral service in Henderson's chapel Monday.
Mrs Kipp was born in Markham, Ont, November 3 1882. She lived at 312 Yale road west.
Survivors are her husband, Archie; three daughters, Mrs R. Wainwright, South Burnaby, Miss Olive Kipp at home, and Mrs A.J. Gotobed, Prince George; four grandchildren; one sister, Mrs E.F. Ballinger, San Bernardino, Calif. and one brother, Jack Nicol, Sardis.
Pallbearers were E.H. Kipp, Bruce Kipp, Allan Kipp, Jim Teskey, H.C. Robertson and Barry Wainwright."
